
Product Overview
The Beechcraft Premier 1A is a high-performance light jet developed as an upgrade to the original Premier I. It combines speed, comfort, and efficiency with advanced avionics, refined cabin features, and improved handling, making it one of the most capable aircraft in its class.
As of August 2025, there were 165 Premier 1A produced. There are currently 13 aircraft for sale, with the minority (6) under exclusive agreement.
Brief History
The Premier 1A was first flown in 1998 and entered service in 2001. Designed by Beechcraft to merge light jet efficiency with midsize jet comfort, it introduced an oval fuselage for greater cabin space. Production continued into the 2000s, establishing the model as a competitive option in the light jet category. Production of this aircraft ended in 2013.
Worldwide Appeal
There are 149 Premier 1A aircraft in operation worldwide. The majority are wholly owned, with 0.67% in fractional ownership. North America accounts for the largest share (71.1%), followed by Western Europe (9.4%). TVPX Aircraft Solutions owns the largest fleet, with three aircraft.

Interior
The Premier 1A features one of the largest cabins in its class, seating up to six passengers in fully adjustable leather chairs. Its oval-shaped fuselage provides extra headroom, complemented by fold-out tables, a refreshment center, and a private lavatory.
Performance
The Premier 1A is powered by two Williams FJ44-2A turbofan engines, offering a maximum cruise speed of 426 knots (789 km/h), a long-range cruise speed of 370 knots (685 km/h), and a range of approximately 1,500 nm. It has a maximum operating altitude of 41,000 ft and a typical takeoff distance of 3,792 ft.
