Jetcraft has named Idriss Abdelaziz as Sales Director. The appointment strengthens Jetcraft’s established footprint in EMEA, with Abdelaziz bringing extensive regional knowledge and market intelligence.

Before joining Jetcraft, Abdelaziz was Managing Partner at Swiss-based jet broker, AeroProp, following an eight-year career in investment banking. As Sales Director, Abdelaziz will manage Jetcraft’s sales, acquisitions and trades across 19 territories, including France, Benelux, Southern Europe and Northern Africa.

Jetcraft is taking the next step in business aircraft sales, acquisitions and trades by establishing the first business aviation lounge in Decentraland, joining luxury brands including Louis Vuitton and Ferrari in the most prominent of the Metaverse platforms.

The Metaverse and Web3 are the new places to do business, with their growth expected to nearly double by 2024, according to Bloomberg Intelligence. Earlier in 2022, Decentraland held the first Metaverse Fashion Week, providing luxury retailers with pop-up stores, and users the opportunity to invest in NFT wearables and limited-edition pieces for their avatars.

2022 marks a variety of significant milestones for Jetcraft, particularly for David Dixon, president of Jetcraft Asia.

This year sees David celebrate his 70th birthday, as well as his Golden Aviation Jubilee - 50 years in the industry. Throughout this career, David has continuously expressed his enthusiasm for aviation and selling aircraft to a vast range of customers.

Prior to specializing in business aviation at Jetcraft, David was involved in airliner and bush aircraft transactions. A self-proclaimed ‘aviation geek’, David has a passion for all aircraft types, particularly Spitfires, and will continue to work in the industry for as long as he can.

At Jetcraft, David’s career highlights include opening the Hong Kong office – the company’s first in the region, and growing Jetcraft’s market presence in Asia which paved the way for the more recent addition of a second office in Singapore.

Jetcraft is releasing Ever Forward, its 5-Year Pre-Owned Business Aviation Market Forecast, identifying significant market opportunities and global trends.

Chad Anderson, Chief Executive Officer, Jetcraft says: “This year’s report predicts that, after stabilizing in the wake of a post-COVID surge, pre-owned transactions should maintain their new higher base and growth rates, reaching 10,921 transactions valued at $66.6B over the forecast period.

2021 was a record year for business aviation, with an annual total pre-owned transaction value of $14.5bn, a near 40% increase on 2020, principally driven by Large and Midsize jet purchases. Despite an equally strong performance in early 2022, Jetcraft predicts the market will soften with normal depreciation levels resuming in 2023.

Jetcraft is expanding its presence in the Americas with the appointment of Preston Jasper and Derek Long as Sales Executives.

Dedicated aviation specialists, Jasper and Long join Jetcraft with a combined experience of nearly 20 years in business aviation and financial services.

Jasper joined Jetcraft in 2019 after starting his career in corporate finance – beginning his Jetcraft tenure as a Sales Engineer before later moving up to Sales Manager. Based in Minneapolis, MN, Jasper will oversee Jetcraft’s strategic client partnerships in the mid-west US region.

Long joins Jetcraft following a 14-year career in banking and business development, including a decade-long tenure at PNC. Based in Atlanta, GA, Long will drive Jetcraft’s aircraft sales and acquisitions in the mid-Atlantic US.

Jetcraft Commercial is announcing delivery of the first five of eight Bombardier CRJ1000’s to an undisclosed customer.

These deliveries are taking place following Jetcraft Commercial’s acquisition of 14 Bombardier CRJ1000 aircraft from HOP! Air France in March 2022.

Raphaël Haddad, President of Jetcraft Commercial, says: “With low operating costs and greater fuel efficiency, the CRJ1000 aircraft is ideal for meeting the needs of growing regional airlines. Jetcraft Commercial Limited, the commercial aircraft division of Jetcraft, has acquired 14 Bombardier CRJ1000 airliners from HOP!, the regional arm of Air France.

Jetcraft Commercial will begin taking delivery of the jets between March and December 2022.

Raphaël Haddad, President of Jetcraft Commercial, says: “This is a significant acquisition for Jetcraft Commercial and I’m proud that three of these aircraft are ready to be placed. There is high demand for the remaining jets, emphasising the need within commercial aviation for aircraft capable of regional missions.”
