Q&A with Mia Aboujdid

Mia Aboujdid, Sales Manager
Location: Nice, France

How long have you been working with Jetcraft?

I have been working with Jetcraft since November 2019.

What are your responsibilities within the global Jetcraft team?

I work as a Sales Manager and have Sales Directors in the EMEA region that I support. I provide any materials that they need to send to a client or to help keep a deal moving forward. I live in Nice, France and have been spending most of my time these last few months at our stand in the Nice business aviation terminal.

Describe a typical day or week in your role.

Every day I wake up early and catch up on some emails or whatsapp from clients, prospects, and the Jetcraft team. I follow up on deals for my sales directors, make sure all their supportive documentation is accurate and updated such as Aircraft Valuations, Specifications, Market Summaries. My main focus is on prospecting and generating leads for my sales directors by setting up meetings or conference calls. I also set up internal objectives with my sales directors as to strengthen their long-term relationship with clients.

What do you love most about your job?

The Sales Manager position is very fulfilling as I must know how to do the sales engineering role and also be able to mirror my sales director in front of a client. We have a lot of responsibilities being the link between the back-office support and what is really happening on the ground and we need constantly to adapt ourselves to changes. I also love meeting and discussing with clients and learning from each their motivations, their story.

Describe the company culture at Jetcraft and what it means to you?

Although I am quite new I already feel a part of the Jetcraft family. We all gather together several times a year, we are all passionate about what we do and it is enriching to have a member of Jetcraft working in every corner of the planet.

What do you want your customers to experience when dealing with Jetcraft?

We do all that we can to gather the most accurate and real time information of the market as to give them the tools to take the best decisions. Working with Jetcraft in one word, we want it to be “easy.”

Who or what has been your greatest professional influence?

The American motivational author, doyenne of personal development: Louise Hay . From her books and audio podcasts I learned that you can change your life by changing your thoughts. The “Hay” doctrine is one of self love and self worth as the non-negotiable keys to positive change. By repeating daily positive affirmations and being grateful, she showed how powerful we are when we control our state of mind. Then I started to read more and more personal development books and influencers such as Dale Carnegie, Deepak Chopra, John Doerr, Grant Cardone and more.

Describe yourself in 3 words:

Positive, Committed, Creative

If you were to buy a business jet, which aircraft would suit your needs and why?

Living in Nice I am lucky to have an airport which can be accessed very easily without restrictions, therefore if it were for my family I would buy a large cabin long range aircraft to take them comfortably to see my brother in New Zealand. Alternatively, for work, I would consider a jet with good takeoff and landing performances to reach as many challenging airports as possible to allow me to save time.

What stands out to you as good customer service?

Taking time to listen to the client’s needs, motivations and thoughts. Helping and guiding clients in their choices. Remaining reachable to answer to the client’s questions and concerns. The clients trust Jetcraft’s expertise and passion for the aviation industry.

Finally, what is your hidden talent or hobby?

I am very competitive and like to challenge myself doing a lot of sport. I try to start every morning with a Yoga Session. I am also passionate about beautiful sea views and love to travel to discover breathtaking places.
