Q&A with Eric Roth – International Jet Interiors

Eric H. Roth, President, International Jet Interiors

How long have you been at your current organization?

I started International Jet Interiors 32 years ago – November 5, 1986.

What are your responsibilities within your organization?

As President, I touch on every facet of our organization and I remain personally involved from the initial bid through the final delivery. I am very “hands on” and active in the development and daily activities of the company.

Describe a typical day or week in your role.

I am in the office by 8am daily and meet with my operations team to attain updates on all current projects. From there I work with my front office on design, engineering, finance, strategic growth, marketing and sales – finalizing quotes and speaking with brokers and clients. To break up the day, I walk through our shops and hangar multiple times to inspect our work, talk with our highly-talented employees and to ensure that we deliver an extraordinary experience and quality completion for our clientele.

What do you love most about your job?

The creativity, the frenetic pace and the relationships I have the privilege to cultivate.

Why did working in the Business Aviation industry interest you, and how did you get started?

I grew up around the aviation industry, as my father introduced me to aircraft at a very early age. I had a clear vision of the type of services I wanted to offer and implement. I started IJI with these goals in mind and have been successful in achieving them with my extraordinary and dedicated team of professionals.

Who or what has been your greatest professional influence?

I am thankful and have enjoyed the unique opportunity to meet many of the most influential entrepreneurs, celebrities and industry leaders – all of whom have given me invaluable insight and shared candid conversations about business acumen. I absorb each and every conversation and have extracted value from each of these relationships.

Describe yourself in 3 words.

Passionate, Creative, Meticulous.

What one item would you never travel without on a long haul flight?

My wife Adrianne…. or noise canceling earphones (maybe both!).

Finally, what is your hidden talent or hobby?

I love cars – especially vintage Corvettes, so it would not be odd to find me in the garage tinkering with my ‘58. I enjoy relaxing with friends while enjoying a single malt scotch & fine cigar and my kids say I am somewhat of a pizza-maker on the grill extraordinaire.
